DPAM Social Content + Collection Spotlights
For DPAM’s monthly Collection Spotlights, I selected pieces from the museum’s collection in CatalogIt and tailored content for both Facebook and Instagram. I applied graphic design skills to reformat visuals, ensured messaging aligned with DPAM’s mission, and maintained an authentic, engaging voice guided by the principle “show, don’t tell.” I also gained experience using Buffer to draft, organize, and share content collaboratively with my supervisor.
While curating these features, I worked to make the museum’s collections more accessible to the public by selecting artworks that were socially relevant and amplified particular voices, interpreting their meaning in ways that invited reflection and dialogue.
DPAM On-Campus Scavenger Hunt
I organized an interactive scavenger hunt to familiarize DPAM’s audience and DePaul students with the presence of public artworks in the museum’s collection that are located on campus, beyond the museum’s walls. After creating the museum’s brand audit, comparing DPAM to other midwestern universities’ art musuems, I noticed that a handful of other museums have been making efforts to engage thier student population and proposed that we did this engaging back-to-school post.
